We all know the NFL offseason is always fulls of players making mistakes and finding their way to jail for some kind of misconduct, but this story is something much more disturbing. The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, Dez Bryant, was arrested Monday for a domestic assault charge on his own mother. The incident happend Saturday night, when Dez Bryant allegedly struck his mother across the face and drug her across the floor by her hair. According to the Dallas Crime Blog the incident started after Bryant’s mother asked him to leave. Bryant’s mother has swelling and bruises thanks to her son’s action.
This incident was not Dez Bryant’s first mistake of the offseason, although this is the most disturbing. Bryant was once thrown out of a mall for foul language and improper clothing, and also got into trouble in a Miami Night Club, but was released soon after the event. This arrest should raise many eyebrows around the Dallas Cowboy owner room about the value of Dez Bryant. Bryant has got all the upside in the world to become one of the leagues best wide receivers, but with altercations as this one, Bryant is starting to give himself a bad reputation around the league. Lets wait and see what the NFL does to Bryant after these charges.
